Two letters of Offer!

Is it OK to receive letters of offer from two banks provided you only accept one? I'm dealing with two banks separately in pursuing my mortgage application and I'm wondering at what point I have to plump for one over the other.

Don't see the problem. You'll only be able to draw one.

2 letters of offer! Count your lucky stars and research the one which is offering you the best deal (Interest rate, term, etc.). If it's a sub-prime lender, then think again!

check the Esis calculator you should get with the offer.
it will show you the cost of credit and the repayments over the term of the mortgage.
it will also show you the total amount of interest you will pay back on the mortgage, if the rate was the same for the term of the mortgage.

oh and to answer your question, you can get as many letters of offer as you want, just remember there is a time on the offers limit that will make them null and void when you reach that time.
normally 3 months from date of offer at the moment.

Thanks for this everyone, luckily I'm dealing with BOI and AIB so sub prime is not an issue.
