Have recently gone sale agreed on a commercial property thru a PRSA vehicle which was formed via funds from my Executive Pension. I'm reconciled with the possible pitfalls of the purchase however there is strong rental and a 10 year agreement which provides 8% return after costs and in as bullit proof an area that I believe you will find.
Rather than leave on deposit, my advisor has recommended that I set up a Trustee Investment Bond thru New Ireland which would be funded by the rental income.
I'm not familiar with this vehicle whatsoever. Any adv, disadvantages, possible pit falls etc that people could highlight.
Long term aim at retirement would be to keep the property within my pension portfolio at retirement.
In addition I will have a seperate PRSA ( largely equity based) and also significant value of Co shares in which I work.
