I am looking to take out insurance for a trip to the states, multitrip looks good value. Im just wondering, I have already paid a deposit on my holiday, in the case of a cancellation would my insurance still cover me or should I have taken it out beforehand. Multitrip quoted me 65euro for a couple on annual multitrip, is this competitive and are they a reputable company?

Yes they will cover you if anything happends once you have taken cover out ahead of the holiday.

Travel insurance is a minefield. Is it competitive? Depends on the cover, the excess and the number of people going.

Depends on the age also. One place tells me " a couple is any two people between 18 and 64 living together". So my husband and I are not a couple? It's very difficult to compare, as some assume you have private health insurance.
