Would anyone know of a travel insurance policy which covers pregnant women at 28 – 32 weeks while abroad in Europe.

I have been doing some research and most policies seem to exclude pregnancy related problems from 24 weeks onwards regardless of a ‘good health’ note which may be issued from your doctor.

The E111 card from your Healthboard covers medical treatment abroad in Europe.

THe E111 does not exist anymore, it has been replaced by the European Health insurance card and the Health boards to not administer it.

check out www.ehic.ie for details.

While this is essential, it only covers treatment in a public hospital, and not repatriation is the case of illness and other things that health insurance would cover.
