Transferring service from a civil to public service role

My brother worked for a few Departments as a Temporary Clerical Officer and had c. 2 years of service before he moved to the full-time role with the Central Bank of Ireland.

He requested his service be transferred over but CB said it didn't count as they are a different sector.

I see CB is on the Register of Public Sector Bodies under Central Government, Dept of Finance, so I don't think they are correct not to transfer his service?

Thanks for the info. Maybe the person in HR was just badly trained or lazy and didn't want to do it.

I'll send him on the link and say to try again
