Transfering private pension funds between countries

Hello,
I have been working in Spain and I have a pension fund with a bank here. I'm thinking of moving to Ireland and I wonder if I can transfer the fund to a pension fund with an Irish bank. How do foreign pension fund transfers work? (I know that changing banks within the same country is easy).
