Trading212 Euro Rates

A lot to like with T212. I use them as my second account for all my day to day spending to get (capped) cash back.

Their interface could do with some refinement as its quite busy, but Revolut can feel a bit like this too.

I still don't why people use Degiro for share /ETF purchases when they are basically free on T212.

In 2026, T212 relies heavily on indirect exchange access through proprietary Systematic Internalisers (SIs) and OTC execution. This highly internalised model makes it very difficult for investors to independently audit true execution quality or verify hidden spread costs embedded within the platform's execution chain, unlike transparent, direct exchange-access brokers.

Personally I use T212 for their uninvested cash interest but use IBKR for ETF purchases.

Trading212 are now calling their new customer rate a promo rate which lasts for 3 months.

The promo rate is now 4.20% for 3 months which is the second highest rate on the market after Robinhood's MMF 5% offer.

Hence, it seems that Trading212 euro rates, are now:
  • 2.40% for customers registered under T212 Markets (but the rate might change if the ECB increase rates next week as expected).
  • 3.50% for customers registered under FX Flat Bank but that decreases to 2.80% from 1 November 2026.
  • 4.20% for new customers (from today?) who are registered under FX Flat Bank but that decreases to 2.80% after 4 months post account opening.

What about customers under their initial UK entity (from when they started providing services to Irish users in 2021)? I believe they still are getting 2.2% rate for their EURO cash.

What source do you have for the 2.20% rate? Link?

The source is myself. I'm getting 2.2% right now, and my T212 account is tied to their UK entity. I've reached out a few times to T212 customer service and they simply say that they provide different rates to different jurisdictions and the UK one is related to the Bank of England rates.

My partner's account is tied to T212 Cyprus and gets 2.4%, so apparently the ones tied to the UK entity are worse off :(

Ah! Thanks for the correction.

The euro rate is not linked to the BoE GBP rates. It should be linked to the ECB Deposit Rate.

Sounds like T212 have 5 euro rates!!

1 - 3.50% as at right now for FX Flat registered customers.
2 - 2.80% for FX Flat customers from 1 November 2026.
3 - 4.20% for new FX Flat customers if they recently signed up. Applies for 4 months.
4 - 2.40% for Cyprus entity registered customers.
5 - 2.20% for UK entity registered customers.

"Dual pricing" / "customer segmenting" on another level.

Plus rates might change soon due to the ECB Deposit Rate increase.

The rates in the Trading 212 UK entity are related to the Bank of England rates, this is what the T212 support agents have told me. I never said the euro rate is linked to the BoE GBP rate, which obviously is not. But the interest they offer for the UK entity it's not linked to the exact value determined by the ECB, and it's impacted by the BoE policies, fx conversion rates and money interest rates.

While obviously the ECB rate impacts the Euro rates in all jurisdictions, the actual interest rate T212 provides depends on more variables than just the fixed ECB rate. T212 does not tie its uninvested cash rates to the ECB interest rate the same way Trade Republic does, unfortunately for me, this is why they offer different rates in different jurisdictions, while the ECB rate is the same everywhere.

Hoping they will go up now with the recent ECB increase.

New Trading212 euro rates:
  • Cyprus entity - 2.50%.
  • UK entity - 2.30%
  • FX Flat entity - 2.80% standard; 4.20% promo for 4 months; 3.50% for some customers until 1 November 2026.

  • The Trading212 euro rate for customers registered under Cyprus entity (some legacy Irish customers are under this entity) is changing to 2.50% on 16 September 2026 when the ECB rate changes as per email received and as per post above.
  • The Trading212 euro rate for customers registered under the UK entity (some legacy Irish customers are under this entity) is changing to 2.30% on 16 September 2026 when the ECB rate changes as per multiple posts on Reddit.
  • The Trading212 euro rate for customers registered under the FX Flat entity (recent Irish customers are under this entity) AND who registered prior to the last week - Is that rate staying at 3.50% and changing to 2.80% on 1 November?
  • The Trading212 euro rate for customers registered under the FX Flat entity (recent Irish customers are under this entity) AND who registered inside the last week - is the rate still 4.20% changing to 2.80% on 1 November?
  • The Trading212 euro rate for customers registered under the FX Flat entity (recent Irish customers are under this entity) AND who registered from today/tomorrow - is this rate changing to 4.45% for the first 4 months??? I can see some posts on Reddit saying this but I don't see what rate on their homepage but maybe this promo will appear tomorrow.
Trading212 really like to make life difficult for you when it comes to maintaining the best buys ha ha
