Just saw this *ad* ..so Trade Republic may be joining the promo gang as well... And @Lightning I had no clue about deposit rates in Europe until I stumbled onto AAM one day. Really appreciate the work you do.

Thanks Acer.

Great offer from Trade Republic.

Trade Republic are joining the segregate new and existing customers tactic with rates. Like Trading212.

I wonder if closing your account and reopening works to get the 3% rate.

Seems like there are 2 ways to get the 3% rate:
1. New Customer.
2. Existing customer who refer a friend who in-turn must make at least 3 investments and pay in 100 EUR in the first 21 days and the 3% rate expires after 3 months in these circumstances.

Does it get more complex!

Trade Republic have responded already, to the ECB increase, by increasing the deposit rate for 'existing customers' to 2.25%.

Meanwhile, the 3% new customer rate is no longer on the Trade Republic homepage.

Their website said 2% for new customers yesterday. Now saying 3.04% as you said. It keeps changing! Will update the best buys later.

According to posts on Reddit, you can't. Trade Republic don't let you sign up again if you already had an account apparently.

Wouldn't be too disappointed, had several occasions where large amounts of money being transferred dissappear for long periods with zero help from their " Customer care"

Exact same thing happened to me and a work colleague too.

The Trade Republic homepage keeps changing between 3.04% interest for new customers with a 50k cap and 2.25% interest via partner banks and MMF.

It's now back saying 3.04% when you select Ireland in the country box at the bottom. Different to earlier today!

It seems that Trade Republic rolled out a new MMF element, with no 50k cap, in several European countries in recent weeks.

Does this effect existing Trade Republic customers who have been customers for a number of years? I'm just curious if this changes the tax?

Most existing Irish customers are getting paid 2.25% with a 50k cap and no part-MMF investment.

Most recent Irish customers are getting paid 3.00% or more recently 3.04% with a 50k cap no part-MMF investment.

In Germany, and in many other EU countries, new customers are getting paid 2.25% with no cap with the deposit in partner banks and MMF and often a local IBAN.

3.04% is the rate for new customers in Ireland right now but I would guess that change is coming.

I opened an account with TR on 6 Jul and transferred the fund in. Is the interest paid monthly? Why I haven't received any interest by now?

Could be mistaken but don't you manually activate interest in the Trade Republic app.?

Go to the Cash tab, click on the Interest tile or section, and select the option to turn or activate it.

It does not start on its own for new users (if I recollect properly) though haven't anything in it anymore.
