Hi, I wonder if anyone knows how a property can quality for this incentive? I am looking at buying and renovating a derelict house which is in an area listed in the town renewal areas but not sure how this works. Do all properties in that area automatically fall under town renewal scheme incentive or do you have to apply to have it approved and if so by whom?!! Hope someone can help - many thanks!

Link to document on town renewal scheme ((opens up PDF file). Says the relevant local authority must have certified in writing that work being done is consistent with the criteria for the Town Renewal Scheme. So it looks like you have to contact your local council and have them certify it.

Just had a read through and not sure whether I should apply for Town Renewal OR Section 23 - it is for a property which is to be holiday let (as opposed to long term let) - any ideas? Many thanks
