Tooth removed by specialist -qualifying dental expense?

Had to have a tooth removed last year and go to galway clinic as could not be done in my local dentists as I was heavily pregnant. I was wondering if this would be considered a qualifying dental expense?

Unlikely.

Extractions are considered 'routine' for tax relief purposes.

Surgical extraction of impacted wisdom teeth are an allowable expense ( must be certified )

Routine extractions are not an allowable expense

I agree with the previous posters, but you could ask the dentist.
The dentist has to fill in a Med2 form and will be aware of what procedures they can fill it in for,

Just put in a call and they are going to send me on the MED2 form, as this is covered .. grand.
