I've a rental property for the last 20yrs mortgage is paid off. I'm thinking of selling this property it is in a RPZ. I would like to purchase a cheaper property and rent this out whatever is left over from the sale I will put towards my pension. I purchased the property for €210k and it would sell for €370k, would it be a poor financial decision to sell given the costs to sell, CGT and the cost to purchase etc...even though the other property would yield a higher rent and not cost as much to purchase, or should I stay with the property as is and keep renting it out.
