So im going to consolidate all my debts totaling ~15,000
this is made up of
9600 BOI loan
900 PTSB
500 Ulster bank
2000 the Brother
2200 BOI CC
0 savings
its just becomming a pain to pay off each one individually and im never going to clear that CC i think so think its just easier and probaly cheaper to pay them off and take a personal loan.
so i was looking at BOI online rates fo 60 months
€15,000 - €19,999 8.7% fixed
€20,000 + 7.8% fixed
so i really only need the 15K and i can start paying back the 300 a month for the next 5 years at 8.7 or could i take the 20K at 7.8 spend the 15K and pay back the 5,000 within the first week or two and contiue to pay the 7.8% for the rest of the 60 months - i suppose this would be frowed apon
and would be covered in the terms and conditions - but has anyone dont this ? and were you punished finantially for doing this?? Or will this acually make any difference in the Total repayable??
thanks
