Time until payment accepted at the other end?

I used the online chat above to check my payment had arrived and add a note regarding which years I want to pay. Might be an alternative to a voice call.

Very useful, thanks!
I was able to chat with a real person yesterday afternoon within 2 mins to chase up on my class 2 payment and get it confirmed and allocated. This morning it's visible online.

Good to hear you got such a prompt response and your issue is sorted. I rang six weeks ago to highlight that the class 2 payments that I made had been incorrectly allocated. I made a payment for the full amount quoted in my acceptance letters for the years 2006 to 2024 on March 10th. When I view my payments online I am missing three random years, from 2006, 2012 and 2013. I returned home from holidays yesterday to find a letter from HMRC advising me that I there had been an error in their system and that I owed class 3 payments from 2006 to 2021 and could pay by 20th of August. I am glad I am in the system but I am finding this very frustrating. Has anyone else had a similar correspondence?

Yes. I received a similar, but significantly different, letter this week.
I paid a lump sum to cover '06 to '24 but my year '24 to '25 is recorded as full and nothing else is.
I did make a call a few weeks after payment, and at that time received oral assurance that the payment would be allocated in due course.
I intend to make a follow up call next week regarding the misallocation but I'm not unduly worried to be honest.
