Tiling of downstairs Toilet

Just wondering if I should fully tile the downstairs toilet of a new build. Or would some tiles around the sink surfice.... maybe some small tiles from roof to floor to make a straight design. Rest of room could be painted white for the mo. Thanks.

DEpends on preferance and cost. I think a completely tiled room looks and feels cold. But everyone will want it their own way.

Would agree with last post. If the room is small no need to tile. We painted our downstairs a very soft colour, its lovely and can be changed whenever we want.

I tiled my downstairs toilet just half way up all around (to about 10 inches above the sink). It's a very neutral off-white/silver mosaic with a matching border and a couple of more decorative mosaics around the sink area. I have no regrets. Then I just painted the top half.

This is the room that gets a lots of scuff when we come in from the garden etc. so just much easier to just wipe the tiles clean if they get a splash of muck.

Eight years on I have now decided to wallpaper the top half instead! I can send you a photo if you wish.

I find that most people tend to tile this room completely now a days. But it is down to personal preference. If it was me I'd tile it all.
