Anyone know the demand for houses to rent in Dublin 11, 17 that will accept rent allowance? And is it the norm to ring the welfare officer and tell him that you have such a house?
I also heard that Dublin city council will be renting houses in the near future, anyone hear anything on this?

Demand for houses to rent in Dublin 11, 17 that will accept rent allowance - Have you looked at DAFT? If you're advetising a place to let there's a field there where you can specify if you accept rent allowance.

Ring the welfare officer and tell him that you have such a house - Social Welfare officers don't find property for tenant's. They just approve (or reject) applications for rent allowance.

Dublin city council will be renting houses in the near future - don't know. You could ask your local councillor.
