Yes. It’s worth asking. However, any site in this area is double, even treble that price.

Am not familiar with site costs in that area. But the real estate market is in bits right now. I am sure the council will look very favourably on anyone willing to build right now.

Ask for a price reduction - say you need a home, but cannot afford to pay the ask.

Or ask for a little extra ground included in the deal and adjacent to the site as you want a polytunnel etc etc - all this will help reduce future bills.
