Or that no texts were received from Avant's number.
As a complete non techie - this month on my Apple phone a pop up appeared saying something about American Express and wallet. Being added to apple pay I think. No idea. I do not have Amex on my phone. But I do get sms from Amex when say I'm paying for Ryanair and I need a code to verify paying for the ticket.

The only think I have is a new Revolut from a week ago as it was added for me by an aduld child. I have zero other banking on my phone and have no money in the Revolut. These 'pop ups' or 'notifications' appears, mostly articles I think, but they then disappear. I cannot find them if I go looking - they are not on whats app or in my sms messages - I don't know where they come from, don't understand them, and don't like them.

On my ipad I have my banking. The pop ups I get on there are from Bank of I. Saying I've autorised a payment and if it's not you to contact someone, it then disappears, no idea where.

Hope this makes sense. Very much doubt my phone provider would be able to get these messages back.
The bank's defence is that they sent the OTP to the customer's phone number with a warning not to share it.
What is OTP?

Sorry I shouldn't have posted that, just trying to be helpful. I need to go to apple class or tech class. And yes Clubman I use OTP's all the time, it's next nor nigh impossible now to do anything without being sent one. By text and email.

This is very serious and you need to go online and freeze your Amex card immediately to stop the fraudsters using it.

Then you should ring Amex to find out what has happened.

Fraudsters somehow manage to add people's credit card to their own Apple Wallet. Then they can spend it.

The credit card company will say that the customer must have given the One Time Password to the fraudsters, so the customer is liable for the fraud.

In your case, you would have no defence because you allowed someone else to access your phone wallet.
