temp. job one-parent allowance

My sister has rang and asked if i wanted to help her out in work for 6 months when someone is on maternity leave. it will only be for the 6 months no chance of it being for more. Does anyone no how this effects my one-parent family allowance? Not sure yet if i can get someone to mind the baby so mite not be an issue and if in the end would it be worth it have to pay someone to mind the baby and lose my benefits
