I'm just wondering if I am working in the public sector as a maternity cover temp and my contract is extended am I entitled to an increase from the point at which I started at at the end of the first year?.I'm thinking I'm not as I'm only temporary.

I am working in the Public Sector as a temporary whole time employee - contracts can be anything from 4 weeks up to a year. I am entitled to yearly increments at my base grade and also to any increments arising from pay agreements etc.

Thanks Galway Girl,I did get an increase as part of the wage agreement about 12 months ago,but I'm still on the same point on the scale after a year and a half.I can't seem to find any documentation on it via the web and I don't want to bring it up as an issue as I don't want to make a big deal about it unless I'm sure.
