Taxes on Importing Electrical Goods from USA ?

Hi Guys,

I am thinking about buying a mobile phone from USA, I was wondering how the import taxes + extra vat on the item, will be calculated ?

Normal 23% VAT.

Thanks for your response, so are you saying I will pay vat of 23% on the sale price of the item ?

• It's 23 % VAT on the item plus all transport and insurance costs.There is also a handling fee which varies depending on who clears it.
