I hope to study Masters in Education and looking for possible tax reliefs available?

The Masters will be 2 years part time and fees is 6000 euros per year.
I will be working full time while doing this Masters.

Any idea how do I apply for this tax relief? Or any other grants I could look for please?

You might qualify for a SUSI grant. Try the eligibility reckoner here https://susi.ie/
Also, see here https://susi.ie/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/Income-Threshold-A5-4-page-Mar-30032020_V2.pdf
and here https://www.citizensinformation.ie/...vel_education/postgraduate_student_grant.html

There is no tax relief on the first €3000 (full-time course) or €1500 (part-time course) in a given year, 20% relief thereafter, see https://www.citizensinformation.ie/...ducation/tax_relief_for_third_level_fees.html

Thank you.

I am a matured student with annual income of 60,000 euros. It seems I can only avail tax relief at 20%

How much tax relief do you think you should get? Are you performing some kind of medical gymnastics that concludes a person earning enough to pay 40% tax should get cheaper access to education than a lower earner...? o_O

@torblednam
I am paying 40% tax for over 8 years now and I am just exploring options to fund my higher studies and looking for possible options.

And this Masters is not only for me but for my patients. I am going to continue getting the same salary but I believe upon completion of Masters, I will be a better physician for my patients.
I don't see anything wrong here.
Thank you

Well maybe there should be a subsidy for the specific type of thing you're talking about, but can you not understand why there's very good reason for not giving a bigger tax relief to already wealthier people.

The reason for my post was to point out to you that you're getting as much tax relief as any other taxpayer undertaking the course, and that there's good reason it's not otherwise.

Thank you.

I totally understand regarding the tax relief. I am looking at alternative options such as Susi grants but due to my income bracket, that's not feasible.

If you're aware of any other available post-grad grants which I could avail then please let me know.
