I can't seem to find the answer to this. In relation to Getting married it says online tax jointly assessed is calculated from date of marriage. I won't use a lot of credits this year as I was out of work and on a low income- would my spouse only get the credits for a quarter of the year (date of marriage to end of year) , and the higher band for a a quarter? I thought credits etc were viewed on an annual basis.

In the year of marriage you are assessed as individuals and then as a married couple, the benefit is then multiplied by the no. of days married over 365.
