A Father proposes to transfer a half share interest in the family home to his son. The house is valued at €300,000.00.
Presumably there would be no inheritance tax or gift tax? There are no previous gifts or inheritances.
Could anyone give me an idea as to the stamp duty, Land Registry fees and other fees that might arise?

Probably no gift tax if, as you say, no previous gifts.

CGT? Is this the fathers principal private residence? Are both parents still alive? Is father / parents retaining a right of residence ?

Any current Mortgage or any intention to mortgage ? Is son a first time buyer? He may pay no stamp duty if he is a ftb. If not a ftb, 1.5% of 150K is 2250.00.

Is property registered land ( i.e. is it registered in the Land Registry?) Or unregistered land?

If registered: fees in the Land Registry c.110.00 or Registry of Deeds: c.88.00

There will also be searches and Commissioners fees on various declarations - c. 100.
