If you get a second part-time job, say for a few hours a couple of evenings a week and maybe half day Saturday for example - are you taxed on both jobs together or each job separately ? I know your tax credits can be divided as long as you tell Revenue. I am thinking of a second part time job but I wont bother if at the end of the day, I am actually paying so much tax it is not worth my while. I do not want to receive my pay slip to find that my take-home pay is drastically reduced because my tax has sored.
I know every case is different, everyone is on different tax bands and credits, but generally, would it be worth getting a second job to supplement your income ?
