For the last number of years I have been zero rated for tax on my pension. U belive the limit is €36,000.
This year will be complicated because of all of the extra payments we are receiving, what payments are taxable and what is exempt from tax.
eg. The heating allowance is none taxable is the extra allowance taxable, is the Christmas bonus taxable?

Fuel Allowance is non taxable, as is the Household Benefits package. The increased amounts do not affect this, and its very unlikely to become taxable, any time soon.

The Xmas bonus is just an additional state pension payment, its not a separate classification of payment, so this is taxable.

There is a more extensive list of what is taxable and what is not, here:

The €200 Electricity credit, or rather €192, as the vat rate reduced to 9%, is also non taxable

Readers may wish to note that the €36,000 tax exemption is for a married couple - for a single person or a survivor, the limit is €18,000 p/a.

With the recent increase in my other pensions, or budget increases I may go over, what happens then?
