Hi,

I'm a full time permanent teacher in a school. I have been offered some work in a grind school on the condition that I take care of my own taxes on the income. I would be paid in cash however, the school is registered for tax and all the payments would be recorded in their accounts and tax returns.

Can anyone tell me what do I need to do with regard to registering for and paying the tax and are there any expenses or credits I can claim against this income?

Any help would be appreciated.

you can notify your tax office of the additional income and they can adjust your tax credits to take care of the tax that will be due on this income (if you want to save the hassle of making a tax return). no additional credits are available, and i would say the school will be covering all expenses?

The school is covering expenses such as photo copying etc but can I claim anything for travel or perhaps the use of equipment such as my laptop / projector?

"You and I" is also wrong in that context. Perhpaps Millix was being sarkastick? ;)
