Hello,

So apparently DeGiro(brokerage) invest your idle cash balance into a ucits cash fund automatically.
I received a $0.02 distribution from this fund. I guess it is interest earned from me holding USD in my account.

My question is how do you account for this income on the form12 tax return?
Would it be US dividends, Non-deposit interest, other foreign dividends, other foreign income, or is it 41% exit tax since the source is UCITS?

Thanks

From memory, ROS returns are to the nearest euro... I wouldn't worry about the (literally) small change.

Thanks for the response.

If I had $0.50 interest, would that round up to $1? or down to $0?

Pretty sure it's round to the nearest full euro in the tax payer's favour. So €0.99 rounds to €0.00.

Ah interesting, I think you may be correct.

But out of curiosity, does anybody know what specific section of the return you would declare this type of interest?

Thanks
