Would appreicate some help. I am leaving my job halfway through October. Will my pay cheque be half my usual take home, or will it be more than half due to credits etc? I am struggling to work it out. I presume USC, pension levy, Spouse and Children etc are only based on what you earn to date so these will have no effect?

Also, wrong forum, but can anyone advise how to calculate remaining holidays?

Your net pay will be more than half its usual amount - impossible to say how much more than half without knowing a load of specifics (which you shouldn't be posting on a public forum!)

As for remaining holidays, halfway through October is 79.17% of the way through the year, so you will have accrued 79.17% of your annual leave entitlement up to that point, so multiply your entitlement by 79% and subtract from that however many days you've already used this year.

Thanks. Is halfway through October not 87.5% of the year?

Nope!

At the end of October you're 10 months in, with 2 months to go, so halfway through October is 9.5months.

9.5 / 12 is 79.167%

Halfway through November is 10.5/12 which is 87.5%
