I will have an Irish state pension, a small private pension and a UK pension of 70 quid. If I top up my national.insurance contributions in the UK what is the overall tax implications and is the tax on the Irish side taken at source or coukd I end up with a bill.

No tax is taken at source on UK state pension if you live in Ireland, provided you apply for this using the form available from the UK pension authority

It is taxable in Ireland - the amount will depend on your overall income

Is the UK state pension not paid without tax deductions to Irish residents ?
As far as I know it's paid without deduction of tax, but I guess if you have other UK pensions (as I do), receiving the state pension might push you over a threshold where you might be taxed on other UK pensions. So best to send in the form, I think.
