Hello, I was made redundant in 2001, received both statutory and ex gratia payments, paid taxes as were due. Now with things as they are today, a good chance redundancy will come up again, will be the statutory payment this time, no extras. What are the tax implications on receiving statutory a second time? Many thanks.

Re: Redundancy querie.

Statutory redundancy is not taxable regardless of whether you have received a termination payment previously. So you will not pay any tax on the payment (income tax, PRSI or health levy)
