tax credits/having left employment

My question is in 2 parts.
In August 2003 I went on Maternity leave, then on a career break until I resigned in August 2004.My husband and I had shared tax credits..is he now due tax back.

And am I due tax back as I am no longer in employment?

If, as you seem to suggest, you are on joint/aggregated married taxation then things should be taken care of through the nominated spouse who, I presume, is your husband. It's no harm writing to Revenue to make sure that they know that you are no longer working in case they need to make any adjustments to the credits/allowances. It also makes sense to double check all credits/allowances and also P60s at the end of each tax year to make sure that you're not under or overpaying tax or PRSI.
