i currently pay 70 euro per week in maintaince for my daughter from a former relationship iam just wondering if anybody knows of any tax allowance for this payments . iam married

no there is no tax allowance for maintenance payments made to a child. If the maintenance was made to a former spouse (not to maintain a child) & was legally enforceable than there may be relief due. check out leaflet IT3 on www.revenue.ie

however if you are not co-habiting with any partner and the child stays with you at least one day in the year than you may be entitled to the lone parent tax credit and increased tax bands. this can be very beneficial. agian check out www.revenue.ie or call your local tax office

is there any chance that there could be a prsi rebate in respect of the amount of maintaince given for a child???
