Good morning all

I am currently in a full time job, earning 26,500 a year.

My question is: how much would my weekly wage be (after taxes) if I was to go part time?

Single, no children, standard tax credits

Would I be entitled so nay social welfare supplements and a medical card?

how many days and hours a week do you work?
how many days and hours would you work part-time?

On a 2 day week, you'd take home about €196.85.
On a 3 day week, you'd take home about €292.75

If you have enough stamps, and the reduction in hours is because your employer is reducing your hours rather than you doing it and you are looking for and available for work on those days, then you will be entitled to jobseekers' benefit. The amount you'd get if reduced to 2 days is about €117.60 and if you work three days, it'd be €78.40.

If you don't have sufficient stamps, you'd be means tested for social welfare and I don't know what the income levels are.

In any case, if your total salary for the year falls below €26,000, you will be entitled to reclaim any health levy you have paid so far this year. This can be done after the year end using form prsiref1 (available on www.welfare.ie).
