Tax back on student Summer working

I have a query regarding my brother-in-law who is an orphan and is reciept of an orphans allowance. He is attending Sligo IT and get a full maintenance grant from the VEC. He has been working for the summer holidays and I want to know if he is entitled to any of the tax back that he has paid. Thank you.

When he gets his p45 he should take it to his local tax office and they'll sort it out for him. It should be straight forward enough.
