tax allowance for children

Hi I am living with my partner, I have been working for past 15 years in same job and would like to know if I can claim tax allowance or credits for our 2 children age 9 and 5?

reading the above, there seems to be no tax credits for children. The tax system in this country is not family friendly.

if your wife is caring for them at home and earning less than 5kish you can claim part of, or all of a €900 home carers allowance. Just ring local revenue office.

Not entirely certain from the post but If the OP is not married the Home Carer Credit is not available to them.

Graham o7 is right. You must be married and jointly assessed to claim carers allowance
