Love to get the 'hardscaping' done around the house and have met 4-5 potential contractors, my question is how do you trust a guy that they will do a good job?? I know you can see pictures and get 2-3 names of jobs the person has done works for, but how do you know they are not his mates?

Can feel like a bit of a lottery sometimes!

I got some patio and concreting work done last summer, used a guy who lives in my estate (although I didn't know him) - reckoned that if anything went wrong, at least I knew where he lived!

I was very happy with the work and would recommend him if you're interested.
