Hello All, I hope all is well,

I have a little problem. We had a skip in our driveway and when it was full, it was collected. However, the two legs from the truck damaged the tarmac while lifting the skip. (The skip was real heavy). The skip company filled in the holes with tarmac. Now, we have what looks like two pot holes filled with tar in our drive.

Is there anyway way to fix this problem? I was told to either re-heat the tar and scrap away the excess or get drive paint to "hide" the bumps as best as possible?

What do ye guys reckon?

Cheers,
James.

you should seek advice from a solicitor as the skip company damaged your drive and so are responsible for fixing it properly take pictures and bring them with you

Thanks for the info asdfg. I dont think that will work in this case as he is a one man show and lets just say I wouldnt like to get on the wrong side of him. Its my own fault, I shouldnt have gone with the cheapest guy. I saw the ad in the local paper.

I am just hear my girlfriend saying "you went for the cheapest option, its your own fault, why did you choose him, why why etc" :(

Irish tar do a product for filling pot holes in ashphalt that might make a better job of the hole. You could use Bitumen paint or an asphalt water water proofing product, bitumen based,to even it up.

Talk to the County Council. They have years of experience in filling up potholes & doing a very nice job:D

Thanks for all your help.

I will look into getting some ashphalt and or driveway paint.
