Table disassembly

Hi,

we have a round dining room table (seats 6) we bought with our house.

We are now planning to move out of our house but the table won't fit through the door into the hallway unfortunately.

I looked at disassembling the table but the screws I found in the base are old and either broken or tread-worn.

Am looking for any ideas. Who would I call on to help?

Thanks,
Stan

You would need to carefully drill them out starting with a fine drill maybe 2mm diameter and move up to a 5mm next until the screws were no more! Then its a question of reassembly with some slightly larger diameter screws to pick up a thread in your newly drilled holes.

I imagine a carpenter would be able to do the job for you if you didn't fancy it!
