Syncing i tunes library between 2 computers

Hello.
I have i tunes installed on my desktop pc . It contains a large library of songs purchased from i tunes and uploaded from CD. I would like to import the music library to my lap top. Is there an easy way to do this or do I need to burn all songs to CD and then upload to laptop. I have both the desktop pc and the laptop authorised with i tunes.

I'm not sure about the music you bought from iTunes (with the DRM etc - I still buy CDs and then convert them to MP3 format), but for the songs you uploaded from cd (or converted to MP3 format) you can just find them on the harddrive of your PC and copy them over to your laptop (using a memory stick, external harddrive etc - depends on how much music you have) and then import them to iTunes on your laptop.

Maybe someone else can tell you how to transfer the songs bought from iTunes??

If you enable hidden files/folders on your laptop. (I think it's under Control Panel -> Folder Options) then when you hook up your i-pod to your laptop select add folder to libiary and choose the music folder from your i-pod.
You also need to ensure that you ask i-tunes to keep music organised.

Sorry if that's a bit vague - I'm on a work PC and can't check it fully :p .
But if you google it you should come up with someting similar to above

Not dumb at all.

This little tool [broken link removed] lets you specify a "local" and "remote" library with the two computers networked together and "syncs" your tunes in both directions. It also works with en external device (iPod, hard-drive, etc.).

The cost is about US$36 (incl VAT) and it works very well, much easier than burning CD's.

I have no commercial connection or interst in the software, other than as satisfied user with multiple computers.
