Switching from Full to Part time work

Does anyone know if my wife would be entitled to social welfare assistance if she had to give up her full time job and take a part time job in order to look after our childern, but now earns less than weekly standard wefare payment?

No, she must be available for full-time work to avail of Jobseeker's payments and there is no other SW help that she will qualify for in the circumstances you outline.
