Switching after changing job

I'm currently in the process of changing job, and would plan to switch my mortgage to Ulster Bank as soon as possible after. I assume there's no point applying during probation, but after that, is there a waiting period?

The mortgage would be about 3x income, 70% LTV, so no exemptions or anything needed.

Normally you'll need to have passed probation, but it can depend on your profession. Say for example you're an accountant, and not just after getting a huge pay rise, it might not matter.
UBs guidelines to brokers:
"Must not be on probation. Applicants who are on probation may be considered where; they were
established in a his/her previous role and have recently moved employer but remain in the same line of
employment"
