If you have an electrical shower that has a pull cord for the light to come.I noticed my tenant's always leave the light on,is this costing them a small fortune or is it like having the TV on standby
leave it on,it costs a miniscule amount to run the light, eventually the switch will break being switched on and of and all your savings will be lost paying me huge exorbitent amounts of cash to repair,or leave it on!!!
we are talking about a switch for an electric shower here if you leave it on there is no way it would keep the water hot are you sure you are not mixing it up with an immersion?

My TV on standby consumes 2 watts of electricity ( I measured it with my Maplin monitor) that's approx 18kw/h a year, costing maybe €3.50 annually. It needs to consume current to be in a state to react when the remote control is pressed. My DVD player with Hard drive consumes twice as much on standby as the TV.
The led on the shower would use maybe 0.1 watt, my guess is that it may add up to 20cents to the electricity bill every year.
On mine, it leaves the light on on the shower itself, as well as on the switch. Any chance of damage by leaving this on permanently?
Seeme to me like leaving a tap running when I see teh light on - I just want to turn it off.
