Suspend Ltd Company?!

Not sure if this is the right forum folks, but looking for guidance. I am back on the paye line for last 2 years, its tough going loosing half your income :)!!.
Just wondering, whats the best option for my 5 year old LTD company. I have 2 options I know. Close down., or submit zero return for future years.
Ignoring costs, are there any options to like suspend a company for a few years?.
 
With Revenue you can deregister from all taxes so then you won't have to submit any returns to them. You can then re-register if you want to start the company up again.

With the CRO you will still have to file a return and a set of accounts every year.
 
Thanks for that. so its the CRO, thats going to cost me the few bob on a null set of accounts.
 
Don't forget that if you are late filing the returns with the CRO you will still have to have your accounts audited for 2 years, whether the company is trading or not.
 
I've reached a deal with my accountant, 250 yearly to do nill return to CRO. But I'm hoping to re-register soon, double the salary again!
