we are re-doing our kitchen units - black laminate. we have floor tiles that have an uneven texture and a terracota-like colour. We won't be changing the floor tiles.
We were thinking about painting the kitchen walls white, but painting one exposed wall and the opposite wall (the wall that most of the units will be on and the fridge / cooker too, the red). So the two opposite walls will be painted red, but one of them will be more or less exposed (will probably use that wall for hanging family photos), and the other one will be covered by presses and a bit of splashback tiling.
Am I doing something horribly wrong here, putting a red colour on an exposed wall?
