Structural Engineers

I need to get a structural engineer to have a look at the chimney stack in my house and certify that it will not structurally weaken the house if it were to be removed. The purpose is to ensure we don't nullify our home insurance by removing it.

Does anyone have any recommendations for structural engineers in Dublin and guidelines on how much this should cost (I've been told €150 should cover it)?

Pinchy - I would doubt that €150 would cover it, let me know if you find someone to do it for you at that price
I would recommend MTW Partnership in Malahide as Structural Engineers, you can contact them at 8463505. AFAIK though most companies in the construction industry are closed from Good Friday until Monday week (CIF Holidays). HTH
