The guard on the bike is quite clever by parking the bike in the sea front car park so it’s much harder too see.

At peak time it would be miserably lower than 50kph. In fact, I know that I am quicker on my bicycle at peak.

Off peak you can get a surprisingly good run if you are lucky.
 
It's around a 1 mile/1.6 km stretch. So increasing to 50 kph will save maybe 2 minutes..?

I drive this regularly and I like the slow roll and chance to enjoy the view.
