hi folks have a few bank shares need sold , don't want to stay with a broker just sell them once off any recommendations cheapest way please

What broker are you with?
What bank(s)?
Paper certificates or electronic holding?
If it's BOI then see here:

I use to be with Campbell and O'Connor my uncle was a stockbroker but there firm is gone now and my uncke has passed away sadly
I haven't bought any in years and that cert is paper might be only 88 if I'm lucky I have to check
someone said they were going to make it easier to sell the shares for people who had smaller amounts but that never happened

Sorry, I can't understand most of your post, I don't understand the reference to "88", and you haven't clarified what company shares you're referring to. If it's BOI then read the two threads that I linked to above. BOI shareholdings are all electronic now (since earlier this year) and any existing paper share certificates are no longer of any use.

sorry should be 84 shares , so it seems I have to access a stockbroker to sell them ina nut shell and take. a loss with fees

The fees will be deducted from the value of the shares
