An elderly family member died earlier this year, he was on an non-contributory pension. Social Welfare Dept asking for a statement of his assets which they received and I got a letter from them 1st week of September acknowledging this. Just wondering what the time frame is for them in deciding to claw back some of his pension.

The SP Non Contributory is a means tested payment and if the circumstances of the claimant did not change up to the time of their death then I would not be expecting any claw back of their pension, expect maybe for overpayments made, if any.
