Has any one ever used Start Mortgages or any brokers who have refered you to the m?

Any views good and bad would be welcome.
Any info also on Start Mortgages pls :)
 
Some of my friends have recently used http://www.firstcredit.ie/
They state they will doing all the looking for you and come back with the best offers out there for a Mortgage, Life Cover, House Cover and they have a flat price of €690 for Solicitor (excluding Vat and Searches charges, total about €2,200)

They reported no problems, and was mate was travelling a lot with work and this place made it very easy for him
 
How the hell does €690 turn into €2200. I know the vat is 21% but thats only on the 690
