My understanding is it involves direct employment only. For instance, If you were hired by third party agency paying PAYE,
PRSI working for direct employer, these years are outside redundancy payment.

I have seen comments on Redundancy start date stating it included fixed term contract(third party agency) before direct employment.

If the latter is true, am wondering if you know can retrospective payment be claimed, I know people in this situation.

Would be grateful for answers / direction on this issue.

I've seen cases where agency and fixed term contract periods were included but only where such employment existed for a number of years. How long is the period in question?
